Hi. We recently moved to Florida and overnight my Schnauzer has dropped half her body weight. She is weak, won't eat much, and is drinking excessive water. She may have had heat stroke. I am worried as she could hardly stand when I got home after being away for two weeks. What could be wrong and what should I look for before taking her to the vet?

My dog has excess protein in her urine. I suspect diabetes. She is a small dog that should weigh about 8 pounds but is at 12 pounds. Would a reduction of food, basically a diet, help?

My dog has a dry cough that hasn't been resolved by multiple visits to different vets, various medications, or X-rays. I am dog sitting my aunt's collie who is on amantadine HCl 100mg for 7 days. Over the last few days, she has had very loose bowels and is now red and sore at her back end. She is approximately 14 years old. Do I need to take her to the vet tonight, or can this wait until morning when her vet is open?
