My dog has a dry cough that hasn't been resolved by multiple visits to different vets, various medications, or X-rays. The cough is only noticeable when the dog is resting or sleeping, and one vet suggested it might be due to a flap hanging up in the throat. What could be causing this persistent cough, and what further steps can be taken to diagnose and treat it?

I am dog sitting my aunt's collie who is on amantadine HCl 100mg for 7 days. Over the last few days, she has had very loose bowels and is now red and sore at her back end. She is approximately 14 years old. Do I need to take her to the vet tonight, or can this wait until morning when her vet is open?

My pit bull mix puppy (5 months old) ate a stuffed animal and now won't eat or poo. This is the second day and we don't get paid until the first of the month. What should I do?

My 8-year-old Ridgeback Boxer mix is very itchy, especially around his nose, which has broken open several times. I've changed his food to an allergen-free diet, given him extra omegas and vitamins, and the vet has prescribed prednisone, an antibiotic, and Benadryl, but nothing seems to help. I'm not sure if he's allergic to my cats or the intense heat, but his itching has been particularly bad this summer. He doesn't have fleas. What could be causing his severe itching, and what else can I do to help him?
