We have a 2-year-old German Shepherd who started excessively licking her rear end after being at a kennel for 3 days. The vet prescribed prednisone (10 mg) every other day, but the behavior returns when she stops taking it. What could be causing this and what can be done to address it?

My dog is acting weird. She can't jump up on the couch, she squeals when I touch her on her body, she shivers/shakes with her tail between her legs. She has no energy and up until late Wednesday night had not eaten any of her wet food since Sunday morning. As of Thursday she has been eating, and her feces are small like the size of a golf tee. It normally is bigger. She has also been sounding like she has wheezing sounds. She is an indoor dog. What could be wrong with her?
