Hi. The hair in my dog's pinna started falling off and he was scratching them all the time. I brought him to the vet who started him on antibiotics with no improvement and then steroids with no improvement. He now has no hair in his pinna and still scratching if you touch them he yelps. I was told that the circulation from his ears is gone and that they may eventually fall off. Is there anything I can do to stop him scratching? I don't know what would have caused it?

My 7-year-old Norwich Terrier woke up with 4 welt-like red bumps on his abdomen. They don’t seem to bother him too much but look bad. They almost look like exaggerated hives with a whiter raised middle. We are visiting Maryland and he has been running around outside much more than usual. My 12-year-old husky, Bear, suddenly couldn't stand up. His hind legs are fine, but he hasn't eaten or drank since yesterday. I took him to the emergency vet, who did blood work, an X-ray, and gave him three medications: an anti-inflammatory, a muscle relaxant, and codeine. He's now wobbly and doesn't want to lay down. What should I do to help him recover and ensure he can eat, drink, and go to the bathroom?
