My 2-year-old French bulldog, Michelle, yelped in pain when picked up and flinches when touched under her rib. She is lethargic, lying down all day, and didn't poop today. She eats and drinks normally but seems to hurt when her legs shrink to lie down. What could be the issue and what can I do to help her?

My 12-year-old husky, Bear, suddenly couldn't stand up. His hind legs are fine, but he hasn't eaten or drank since yesterday. I took him to the emergency vet, who did blood work, an X-ray, and gave him three medications: an anti-inflammatory, a muscle relaxant, and codeine. He's now wobbly and doesn't want to lay down. What should I do to help him recover and ensure he can eat, drink, and go to the bathroom?

My dog, Dakota, a 7-year-old golden retriever with chronic allergies, has a severe habitual ear infection. She is currently on thyroid and anti-allergy medications but ran out of Apoquel 4 days ago. I have an ear cleaning solution from the vet that has not expired. Can I use this solution along with aspirin or another NSAID until I can get her to the vet on Monday? Her body weight is approximately 72 pounds.

Our dog, Oscar, had a Cerenia injection at 11 am today and was sent home with pills. He was diagnosed with diabetes and pancreatitis, has bladder stones, and received his first insulin injection an hour ago. He is panting excessively and uncomfortable. When should we start the pills, and should we give him more Cerenia? Why is he panting so much?
