I am from Fiji Islands and have a 9-year-old Rottweiler named Rambo. He started panting heavily two days ago, isn't eating or drinking, has saliva coming out from the side of his mouth, and has difficulty sitting down. I checked his temperature, and it seemed normal. Our 12-14 month old healthy shelter dog suffered a snake bite 1" below the eye on the 4th of July. She was screaming due to shock and pain, and her rear legs became immediately paralyzed. The next day, there was a big swelling around the bite wound. Treatment with high doses of Vitamin C, antibiotics, antihistamines, and ibuprofen was successful, and she is now eating and drinking almost normally with OK digestion, but there is no movement in her rear legs. What can we do to help, and is this condition reversible?
