I applied Tea Tree Gel to my dog's skin a couple of weeks ago, and it seemed to calm her irritated skin, but I panicked and wiped it off. Now, I'm hesitant to use it again without proof that it was the cause of the improvement. My dog is currently on Benadryl and a special diet, and I'm trying to avoid using immunosuppressants like Atopica or Prednisone due to their potential side effects. Should I continue using the Tea Tree Gel based on the previous positive outcome, or should I wait for more conclusive evidence?

Two days ago, while out hiking, our large mixed breed dog developed a large abscess on its muzzle. Today, it has multiple ruptures. We are on a return hike and still three days away from being able to access a vet. What can we do to help our dog until we can get to a vet?

I have a 16-year-old Chihuahua who has been vomiting bile and mucus every morning for a week. She seems uninterested in her food until late at night, and her breathing is deeper and less smooth. I am a first-time pet owner with financial constraints. What can I do to help her?

I took my toy Yorkie to the vet on Saturday because she was wheezing, not getting enough air, vomiting a little, and licking the carpets. We suspect she may have ingested toy stuffing. The vet found her tongue to be dark due to lack of oxygen, took blood, gave her antibiotics, and sent her home. Today, the vet called to say her lab results were abnormal, likely due to dehydration, and recommended subcutaneous fluids and repeat labs. She is currently eating, drinking, and playing normally. Does she really need this treatment?
