I can't get my dog, Angel, to take her 500mg powder antibiotic capsule without her biting it. She is 10 years old and hasn't pooped today. I've tried using ham, holding her mouth shut, and putting the capsule in the back of her mouth. What can I do to administer the medication effectively?

My pit mix gave birth 2 1/2 weeks ago and has started bleeding fairly heavily from her vagina. She is still very active and doesn't seem to be in pain. What could be causing this and what can I do until I can get her to a vet?

Yesterday, my dog ate a little rat poison (JT Eaton 704-PN Bait Block). I saw green stuff in his poo at sunset at the dog park. I think he shook the trap/container and was able to get some of the poison out of the locked container. He's not showing any symptoms. Has the dog vomited since he ate the rat poison? Is there anything else the Vet should know before I connect you? I have a poo sample and some of the poison if that's what he ate. My dog is 75 lbs and he only seemed to eat a little poison. Is it really necessary to take him to the Emergency vet?
