I have a 10-year-old beagle named Wrigley who has been diagnosed with a back issue causing him to be very docile and walk with a limp tail. He has been prescribed Previcox, which helps temporarily but the need for it is becoming more frequent. I am concerned about the long-term use of this drug due to potential side effects. I have a 15-year-old dog named Zoe. She had fluid in her abdomen, which was drained and found to contain blood. X-rays did not show any abnormalities due to the fluid. The vet suspects there might be a mass that didn't show up on the X-ray. Zoe is on antibiotics, her heart looks good, but she has an enlarged liver and possibly an enlarged spleen. They are suggesting an ultrasound. Given her age, surgery might not be an option. What should be my next step?
