I have a 4-year-old mini poodle named Dino who has had persistent coughing problems since he was a puppy. Despite various treatments including nebulization, low-dose antibiotics, and steroids, the cough persists. Dino also experiences itching and has had a runny nose for the past month. What could be causing his chronic cough, and what additional tests or treatments should be considered?

I have a 14-year-old female terrier in renal failure. She was hospitalized for 3 days on IV fluids with B12, and her BUN and Creatinine levels improved. However, she is now exhibiting twitching, jerking, restlessness, shivering, and difficulty eating. Is it possible she had a stroke, and what can be done for her at this point?

My brother's pitbull, Max, swallowed a large bone two days ago and has since had a bowel movement with significant bleeding. Max is not eating well, only drinking water, and has not had another bowel movement. My brother inserted a finger into Max's rectum and felt the bone. What should we do?

Our retriever was operated on 18 days ago to remove a 2-inch piece of steel shaped like a needle near the liver. Since then, her condition has deteriorated. She refuses to eat her normal dry food, only consumes a little mashed chicken occasionally, vomits a yellow substance, has a cough, and is so weak she can hardly walk. Our vet who performed the operation does not know what the problem is and is now suggesting an MRI scan. What do you suggest?
