I have an 8-year-old yellow lab that hasn't gone into heat for over a year but recently did. She bled heavily and now has a bloody mucus discharge. Should I be concerned, and do dogs go through menopause?

Dr. Kara, Bailey woke up yesterday at 6:30 a.m. and vomited a small amount of bile. He was fine afterwards and even wanted to eat. He's done this before but not often at all. Since he had vomited I waited a couple of hours and only fed him some brown rice. Later that same day I fed him more brown rice mixed with boiled chicken. He had a normal bowel movement as well. Twice today he had a soft formed stool that was yellow and you could tell there was rice mixed in. Could it just be the food change?

My 7-year-old pug ate his usual amount of Iams dry dog food, but this morning he has diarrhea. He's still drinking water and eating, but the diarrhea continues. Can I give him something for this, or do I need to take him to the vet? How long should I wait if I have to take him?
