I have a 7-year-old chocolate lab with ongoing anal gland issues for 6-7 months. Despite antibiotics and special allergy food, one gland healed but the other remains open. The area has no smell, and the dog rarely scoots. Warm compresses seem to help temporarily, but the dog is sometimes slow to get up. I've used derma-vet ointment and the dog is currently on clindamycin. The dog has also been shaking its head recently. What could be causing the persistent issue and the head shaking, and what further steps should I take?

My cat was given Biomox (amoxicillin) drops for dogs. Is this safe, especially since he has been sneezing more than normal? He was prescribed this after a 24-hour stay in the vet's ICU for possible GI upset and/or gallbladder problems. His CBC showed an elevated TBil of 1, decreased ALKP of 10, and decreased PLT of 161. Prior to the vet visit, my cat had a loss of appetite, no BM for 24 hours, excessive thirst, and decreased urination.

I have a dog with a black mass inside the lower lid of one eye, below the cornea. There have been no changes in the mass for a month. Additionally, the opposite eye has a history of growths on the inside upper lid that have required surgery twice but recur and then resolve on their own. The dog also has a history of a severe brown recluse spider bite two years ago, which almost resulted in death and required extensive care. What is the nature of the current eye issue, and could it be related to the dog's immune system or the previous spider bite?
