I have a 70 lb 8-year-old German Shepherd diagnosed with aggressive inflammatory mammary cancer involving lymph nodes and the vascular system. She had surgery to remove her mammary chain 7 weeks ago and has been on prednisone, Tramadol, doxycycline, and various supplements since. Recently, she cracked a molar and lacerated her tongue, causing continuous bleeding. She stopped eating and drinking, but after treatment with Cerena and Pepcid, she ate some baby food. She is not eating again this morning. Does this sound like nausea from cancer or from ingesting blood? Is there anything else I can try to get her through this? Should I withhold liquids to help clotting, or continue with IV fluids?

My 9 1/2-year-old labradoodle has been losing weight and occasionally regurgitating his food, despite being on a bland diet and receiving frequent feedings. He appears healthy and pain-free, but has lost 10 pounds in the last two weeks. What could be causing this weight loss and regurgitation, and what further diagnostic steps should be taken?

My dog, Max, a 2-year-old Maltese Shih Tzu, is restless at night due to inflamed bumps on his body and constant scratching and licking of his paws. He has no fleas as he is treated with Advocate every 3 months. I have been using medicated shampoo (Dermcare Malaseb) but it doesn't seem to help. What can I do?

My dog, Koda, a 3-year-old weighing 23 lbs, accidentally ate a 50 mg tramadol pill about an hour or two ago. He seems pretty lazy right now. Should I be concerned, and is there anything I should do?

I found some leaves from a Wine and Roses Weigela inside the house. I have two dogs and am concerned if they ate some of the leaves. I can't find any information about this plant being toxic or non-toxic for dogs. Is there any way to determine whether or not a Weigela is safe for dogs?

My 8-year-old German shepherd had a bilateral TECA surgery two weeks ago and is recovering well, but shows no reaction to sound. Should I expect some return of hearing by now, or is it possible that an auditory nerve was damaged during the surgery?
