I have a German Shepherd mix. She is not very tall, only about two feet. About two days ago, I noticed she quit jumping up on the bed. Also, when she goes to jump out of a car, she stops and whines for us to pick her up and take her out. I have tried range of motion on her back and front legs, and she doesn't seem to show any pain when I move them. Today, I threw up a tennis ball for her to catch, and she didn't even try, but only sat there and watched me. What could be the problem?

I have a 9-year-old male basset hound named Jesse who is becoming increasingly aggressive. His blood work was normal except for Lyme's disease, which he is being treated for. He also shows signs of separation anxiety when not near my husband. We have another male basset hound they've lived with for 8 years. What can be done to address Jesse's aggression and anxiety?

My dog passed away 2 years ago from heart failure. He was a 14-year-old Shih Tzu with relatively good health. He had dry coughing for three days before passing, and the emergency vet found heartworm, an enlarged heart, and cloudiness in the chest, possibly indicating cancer. I have several concerns: 1) Did my husband's decision to continue walking our dog for several hours around Philadelphia a month before his passing overwork his heart and contribute to his death? 2) Did the anesthesia and surgery a month before his passing, where a lump was removed and a decayed tooth was extracted, directly cause his passing? 3) Could I have saved or extended his life if I had brought him to the vet on the first day of his coughing?
