I have a hunting dog that was hit by a car and has a cast on his right front leg with two broken bones. He received a pain shot that was supposed to last 24 hours, but he is already in pain and aggressive when being handled. We have a half tablet of Vetprofen. Would that be okay to give him, and how long would it last? Is there anything else over-the-counter we can give him, like regular ibuprofen? The dog weighs 65-70 lbs.

Our miniature dachshund, Yorkshire terrier mix (Dorkie) dog just ate a couple of pieces of Moonstruck dark chocolate. He seems to be okay, should I take him to the vet now or just watch him during the day?

Why does my dog want to eat everything, including dead bugs, dog feces, and other icky things, and how do I break her of this habit? Additionally, how can I prevent her from eating potentially poisonous items like mushrooms that sprout up in the yard?

My vet's wife is in emergency surgery. I have test numbers from blood work done yesterday: Protein 8.1, Albumin 4.1, Phosphate 983, Creatinine 28, Glucose 533, Potassium 5.9 & NaK 24. All numbers are extremely high with the exception of NaK. I feel so sad and have no answers. Confused: Diabetes or Kidney problems?
