My dog has been sneezing intermittently for 3 days, blowing air out of his nose, and now sounds congested. He couldn't bark until he cleared his throat, but he is quiet when resting or sleeping. What could be causing this and what should I do?

My dog's blood report shows a TBL of 1.73 and a platelet count of 150,000. The vet is prescribing Hepamerz injection 10ml with two days of IV therapy followed by oral medication for about a week. Does this sound appropriate, and are these values indicative of a serious liver issue?

I have an 11-year-old dog with worsening tracheal collapse, currently on hycodan and low-dose steroids. Anxiety is a major issue, and I've tried Valium and Xanax without success. My vet started trazodone today. How long should I wait for an effect, and can acepromazine be used with his hydrocodone?
