A month ago, he had trouble walking and a high fever, with low platelets and a mild positive test for Rocky Mountain spotted tick fever. After three weeks of doxycycline treatment, his platelet count remained unchanged. His neurologist now suspects an internal issue and referred him to an internal specialist, but the appointment is in 10 days. What could be causing his symptoms, and what should I look for in his lab results?

My nearly 3-year-old spayed dog is apparently leaking a very tiny amount of urine, only in certain positions, with no continuity. She is very normal in all other aspects, including eating, drinking, urinating, and expelling. The only difference is that our 7-year-old intact male Alaskan Malamute is constantly trying to get on top of her and smelling her butt and where she urinates. What could be the issue, and should I be worried?
