I have an almost 15-year-old Terrier mix female with early symptoms of chronic kidney disease, no stones or infection. Her vet wants to put her on medication and special food, but can I make her a kidney-friendly diet at home? Additionally, her liver enzymes are elevated, and we have an additional medication for that. I'm also concerned about the cost of the medications, which is $200 per month, and I can't afford that. Are there any alternatives or supplements that could help her kidneys and liver?

My Shih Tzu, Sassy, is peeing blood and has loose stool. She is not spayed, has a scratching issue with hair loss, and has been eating rabbit poop. What can I do to help her, and what should the vet check for?

Found a large baseball-sized lump on my chocolate lab, Tootsie, between her ear and jaw on her neck line. It appeared suddenly within the last 2-3 days and is very firm. She doesn't seem bothered by it and is still drinking water, though she hasn't eaten her regular food. Is this an emergency, and should I take her to the vet immediately, or can I wait until Monday?
