I have a 13-year-old male Cairnpoo diagnosed with congestive heart failure and a dry cough. He is on Vetmedin, Enalapril, lasix, and torbutrol for the cough. The vet suggested the cough is from the esophagus, not the heart. I need a less expensive substitute for torbutrol and want to ensure the correct dosage for any alternative medication. The cough is worse at night. What can I use instead of torbutrol, and how should I administer it?

I have an 8 lb, 2-year-old Yorkie named Molly who has tapeworms. I have seen them and am concerned about them in my yard and on my furniture. Molly is currently taking Heartgard and I have three other dogs. Can I give her an over-the-counter wormer, and should I treat the other dogs as well?
