If my dog has blood in her urine, do you think she needs antibiotics? It happened during the winter and after two days it went away. I noticed it started again today. It is like she drips a little pee on the floor here and there.

My Veterinarian suggested that my 11-year-old female Golden Retriever be given Pepcid AC twice a day for the rest of her life due to gastrointestinal symptoms. Is there an alternative medication I can give my dog instead, and is it harmful for a dog over 10 years old to be on Pepcid AC for the rest of her life?

My 4-year-old 45-pound Bulldog has had severe diarrhea for 5 days, starting with vomiting once on the first day. I switched him to a boiled chicken and rice diet, which seemed to improve his stool, but explosive diarrhea returned when I reintroduced his regular dry food. I am now fasting him for 24 hours and plan to start feeding him Hills I/D twice a day. Am I doing the right thing?
