Becca, a dog, is at Woodland Hills Advanced Critical Care and Specialty Service. Her ultrasound of kidneys looks like that of a 15-year-old dog with chronic renal disease (RBC is 17). She is on IV fluids, Cerenia, Pepcid AC, Phosphate Binder, Epakitin, Aranesp injection (1x a week), Iron dextran, and B-12. Blood tests are done weekly. My dog ate rat poisoning, but we don't know the type as it was transferred to a ziplock bag without the original packaging. It was shaped like a small log with ridges, and my dog ate it about 45 minutes ago. My dog is not acting upset or sick, and he is a healthy 85 lb lab mix. Should I try to feed him something to absorb it, and is there anything else the Veterinarian should know?
