While rubbing my dog's tummy, I noticed that one of his nipples is swollen. I was rubbing his tummy just a couple of days ago and it looked normal. The dog, Toby, is a 5-year-old basset/beagle/german shepherd mix, fixed and has never had any serious health problems. He has not been licking the area, and there is no discharge. What could be causing the swelling, and what should I do?

My dog, Roaseanna, a year and a half old and weighing about 40lbs, ate about 2 cups of mixed nuts from my snack bag in my purse. It happened within the last 30 minutes, and she hasn't vomited yet.
