My 10-year-old Golden Retriever, Ginger, has been on Cipro and Doxycycline for over 3 months and has been treated with Quadritop ointment. She has open sores that she licks and scratches, and she smells like infection. The vet initially thought it was fleas, then suggested a food change, and later mentioned it might be a bacterial infection. What could be causing her skin issues, and what should I do next?

My 12-week-old King Charles Cavalier puppy, Spice, yelps intermittently and holds her left hind leg off the ground at times. She also bites at her leg and licks an area about an inch down her tail. She has been taking anti-inflammatory medicine, but the vet hasn't identified the issue. X-rays showed no abnormalities. Could this be a pinched nerve or another issue?

An error in dosage with gabapentin of 0.5 ml was given to a 3 lb dog, when it should have been 0.1 ml. The dog, named Lilah and aged 12, just had eye graft surgery for an ulcer 24 hours ago. What are the potential side effects and dangers of this dosage error, and how long should it take for the effects to wear off?

My dog, Willie, has pancreatitis and recently threw up. His stool is loose and mushy, but he is otherwise acting normal. I am concerned about his care and my upcoming trip. My questions are: 1) Should I feed him normally today? 2) Is it okay to leave him with a dog sitter for 10 hours while I visit my sister, or should I stay home until his vet appointment?

My dog, Athena, a 5-year-old Husky, was just bitten by a rat snake in our backyard. She has a pin prick of blood on her nose, no swelling, and is panting due to the weather. Athena is healthy and up to date on her shots. What should I do?
