My parents' 8-year-old lab has suddenly stopped eating and was refusing water. He had trouble breathing two nights ago but is now breathing normally. He has been lethargic and vomited once, possibly after trying to eat grass. What could be causing this and what should be done?

Our dog has a large abdominal growth that is about 8 pounds and appeared over the course of a few weeks. She is twelve years old, a yellow lab, and appears completely normal in every other aspect, including eating, drinking, and normal activity for her age. She is not in any pain or discomfort. Short of surgery, is there anything we can do for her?

My dog seems to be grunting like he has a hairball or something in his lungs. He is making an odd sound and stands still trying to breathe. Is there anything I can do about this?

I have a yellow lab with a huge stomach. He is showing no signs of fatigue or strain, just a large stomach. What can I do to reduce the pressure?
