Our dog has a large abdominal growth that is about 8 pounds and appeared over the course of a few weeks. She is twelve years old, a yellow lab, and appears completely normal in every other aspect, including eating, drinking, and normal activity for her age. She is not in any pain or discomfort. Short of surgery, is there anything we can do for her?

My 9-year-old female dachshund has a large knot near one of her breasts, the nipple is enlarged and oozing clear liquid. She has never been spayed and she nests, making milk. I believe she may have a clogged milk gland. Is there anything I can do at home to help reduce the knot and open the gland again?
