My 11-week-old Samoyed puppy, Loki, started having diarrhea last night. He eats and drinks well, is active, and has been trying to eat dead leaves and acorns. I have a bottle of kaolin pectin suspension that was prescribed for my adult collie. Could I give Loki a dose of this, and if so, how much? I've also been adding cooked white rice to his moistened puppy food. What else should I consider or do for Loki's diarrhea?

My 18 lbs, almost 2-year-old pug named Sophie might have eaten weed. She was lethargic, wobbly, and threw up when we came home. What should I do?

I gave my dog chicken broth with onions in it. He had blood in his urine. What could be the cause and what should I do?

Last night, my dog, Mary Ann (a 7-year-old American foxhound weighing 55 pounds), got into some dark roast ground coffee. She has been peeing a lot today, hasn't pooped, and her energy seems typical. She hasn't vomited. Could this be a cause for concern, and should I monitor her for any specific symptoms?

My dog, Miya, who is 6 years old, has a big soft lump on the side of her head near her ear. It is not sensitive to touch and she seems fine otherwise. I have an appointment scheduled for Saturday, but I'm concerned about waiting that long. What should I do in the meantime?

I bought a puppy named Timber, a mini Aussie, from a pet store. He has had a cough since I got him, and it has worsened, with occasional wheezing and shallow breathing. He was treated with Clavavox at the store but was not given any medication when I bought him. He is eating and drinking well but seems more tired than usual and has trouble sleeping. His breathing is uneven and forced at times. What can I do to help him until I can get him to the vet?
