My 11-year-old dog, Tonka, was just diagnosed with a collapsed trachea. He struggles to breathe, especially at night, and has a prescription for hydrocodone for his cough, which doesn't seem to help. Is he supposed to be constantly struggling to breathe, and is it safe to give him human cough syrup? Additionally, he seems scared and hides during his fits. Is he suffering?

My 20 lb dog Daisy, who is 12 years old and has arthritis, ate a large Hershey's milk chocolate kiss (41g) about an hour ago. She seems hyperactive but otherwise okay, with a normal heart rate. Should I be concerned, and what should I watch for?

My 65 lbs dog ate a 10 oz bag of chocolate, which is a mix of milk and dark chocolate. Should I induce vomiting at home, and if so, how should I do it?

My dog has vomited three times today. The vomit is chunky with food in it, and yesterday it had paper in it. The dog's name is Hemingway, and he is almost two years old. He is still drinking and eating. What should I do?

My dog has been moping around and not wanting to play with his toys for 2 weeks. He also doesn't want to go outside anymore and runs to hide when I ask him to go potty. Could someone have done something to him, and can dogs be depressed? Should I make an appointment to get anti-anxiety and depression meds for him?

My dog, Keebler, a 7-year-old 22-pound dog, just ate two poppy seeds from a piece of cheese. He had his last vet visit in July and is on regular flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. There are no symptoms at the moment. What should I do?
