My 4.5-month-old dog is very lively, boisterous, and tries to nip me all the time. He also humps a pile of my clothes. Friends say this behavior is due to his hormones and will change when he is desexed. Is this true?

My little dachshund is on day 4 of Meditrich (Metronidazole) for suspected diarrhea, but she only had one episode at the vet. She also has Cushing's disease and an enlarged liver. She is showing signs of being unwell, including a bloated stomach, abdominal pain, confusion, stumbling, and decreased appetite.
