My dog, Lulu, a 3-year-old Yorki-Wawa, has been excessively licking her paws and herself for the past two days. Her tongue feels warmer than usual, and she's not as playful as she usually is. She also shivers more often, though she's always cold, and her breath is terrible. There's slight redness between some of her fingers, but no rash or discomfort when touched. My beagle/Bassett cross, Jewels, is 14 years old and has been experiencing difficulty getting down stairs, hip curvature, glassy eyes with the start of cataracts, a lack of appetite, and constant whining and groaning, even when laying still. She was rescued from a neglectful/abusive owner and has been in pain for about two weeks. What could be causing her symptoms and what can I do to help her, especially given my financial constraints?
