My 12-year-old Boston rescue, Evie, suffered an accident where she wrapped her leash around someone's legs and was injured. After waiting for 8 hours at an emergency clinic, she was given pain meds and a splint. Her vet now recommends amputating her leg due to potential non-healing with the splint, but I cannot afford the surgery. My 8-pound Yorkie named Sophie, who is 12 1/2 years old, has 10 times the normal liver enzymes and severe collapsed trachea with an enlarged liver. I am unable to get her to take any supplements. What suggestions do you have for administering her medication?

I placed my 9mg Xtampza on a table and am afraid one of my dachshunds ate it. They are 7, 9, and 20 lbs. Do I need to take them to be seen? The 20 lb dog has seizures and is on phenobarbital too.

I have 4 little dogs. One of them climbed a shelf and got a hold of a small bottle of Vetmedin (pimobendan) containing 4 - 1.25 mg chewable tabs cut in half, totaling 5 mg. I don't know which dog ate them or if more than one did. The dogs range in weight from 9lbs, 11lbs, 12lbs, and 22lbs. None of the dogs have a heart condition and none are acting differently. I am 2 hours away from the nearest vet. The pills were ingested at least 45 minutes to 1.5 hours ago. Conan, one of the dogs, has a history of high liver values. What should I do?

My dog had puppies 4 weeks ago and she has blood in her urine. Can I wait until Monday to go to my regular vet? I am concerned about going to the emergency vet because of the risk of Parvo, even though the mother is fully vaccinated. She is eating, drinking, and nursing, and her temperature is normal.
