Hi Dr. Altman, my vet has an opening on Thursday to remove Nikko's belly mole. I took some new pics and was wondering if you could have another look. I hate putting him through a day of surgery but it seems like I should. In your experience, what are the odds that this is malignant melanoma?

My 13-year-old chihuahua, Izzy, has been very healthy and active until recently. She started with reverse sneezes, then developed a dry cough, and now has a loud honking/gasping sound when she coughs. She is lethargic and seems out of it. Her appetite has decreased, and she sometimes chokes on her food. She also sounds like she is snoring even when awake. What can I do to make her comfortable throughout the night before I take her to the vet in the morning?
