My dog just ate a baby mouse. Will he get sick? What should I do?

I want to become a veterinarian and I am currently at 79 credits within my BS. I must still go to graduate school after my bachelors. I currently live in Hawaii where there is no vet colleges. Please give me some tips on how to make the correct choices in the schools I go to. Also, I was told entry-level vets make about 70-100k per year and it goes up from there. It seems like a very lucrative career and beneficial in terms of passion. Please give me all your advice that you have ...what would have done differently if you look back on your college beginnings. Also how hard is it to get into an actual college in the main US ...I heard I must pay a third party and pray to be accepted.

What can I give my 3-year-old pit mix (39 lbs) to help stop diarrhea since this morning, which has been very watery and again tonight? She has been eating and drinking. Yesterday morning, she went into the great South Bay (salt water), put her whole head in water, and was pulling up seaweed. She has also been on atenolol 18 mg for over a month and 10 mg of Pepcid for gagging & small throw-ups for the last 2 weeks. Thinking the salt water ingested might have caused the diarrhea. Is there something I can give her to help stop the diarrhea?

My dog has an enlarged heart and is having a hard time breathing. He has an appointment on Monday with a cardiologist in Pittsburgh. I was wondering if I could give him a Lasix 20 mg. in the meantime.

My large breed dog ate about 3 tablespoons of salt. I'm not seeing any reaction right now. Do I panic? What should I do?
