My 14-year-old dog, Quincy, has been experiencing blood in his stool for about a week, sometimes mixed with his stool and sometimes not. He has had two hernia surgeries around his rectum, the last one in 2015, and the vet said he won't survive another surgery. He is also more thirsty than usual and takes a stool softener daily. What could be causing this and what can I do to help him?
