My dog, Baxter, a 13-year-old obese 30 lb dachshund, has been coughing up fluid, especially in the evening. I thought it was Congestive Heart Failure (CHF) and started him on Salix and Vetmedin, but they don't seem to be working. He's not on heartworm protection. What else could be causing this and what should I do next?
