My 15-year-old Shih Tzu, George, has been diagnosed with bronchitis and is coughing. He was given antibiotics and prednisone by the vet on June 2, and was seen again on June 19. However, the vet is fully booked until July 15, and I want to know if he can have some kind of cough medication to relieve his coughing. George also has a heart murmur, has had three surgeries for bladder stones, and has adenocarcinoma of the anal gland since July 2020.

My 3-year-old dog, Mellow, has been biting at air and snapping at his legs as if he has an itch, but he doesn't follow through with scratching or licking. My dog, Gideon, a 15-pound mutt, injured his leg or possibly dislocated his hip after jumping off the bed. He has a cut or bruise on his inner thigh near his groin and on his knee. He is walking reluctantly but doesn't seem to be in pain when I touch or move his leg. How can I determine if this is an emergency, whether it's his back or leg/hip causing the issue, and if there's anything I can do in the meantime?
