My 15-year-old terrier, Noel, is passing small amounts of red blood and just threw up. She was in pain yesterday, and after spending $400 on treatment for arthritis, she is now passing blood and not eating much. What should I do since the vet is closed?

My 10-year-old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel was diagnosed with diabetes in April 2019. He was prescribed Vetsulin, but his diabetes is still not controlled despite the high cost of treatment. Is there a cheaper human insulin, like Walmart's Novolin N, that he can safely switch to, and how long does it typically take to regulate diabetes in dogs?
