Our three-year-old Pit mix, Jezebelle, suddenly has swollen left front and rear paws. They appear about twice their normal size, the skin is red, and she won't let me touch them. Her right front and rear paws are normal size, and she is otherwise fine, good appetite, normal urinary and bowel function and frequency. She is always walked on a leash in our large yard, never goes into any wooded areas. We do not use any lawn and garden chemicals or pesticides. What could be the cause of this and how should we treat her?
