My 3.5-year-old Thai Ridgeback, Apollo, is excessively biting and scratching himself, which I believe started when we left him for a week last November. He is highly anxious, and I have tried a cone and various topical aids for his skin, but it seems to be a behavioral issue. I read about Clomipramine and its potential benefits for him. How can I get a prescription for it without having to pay $120 for a vet checkup? I also know he needs more exercise and attention, and I plan to be more intentional with that. How can I help calm him?

My new 11-month-old Mini Schnauzer-mix rescue puppy has a habit of rubbing his nose on furniture and blankets when we are around. We are worried he will hurt himself.
