My 4-pound puppy, Ramen, may have eaten a very small piece of chopped onion while I was fixing dinner. I'm not 100% sure if he did, but I want to make sure he's okay. Should I take him to the vet or is poison control the right place to contact?

My 1-year-old male retriever, Jasper, has normal stools followed by softer ones and often diarrhea on his second walk. He is fed grain-free, high-quality dry food with a small amount of canned food, but we've tried several different foods without improvement. Can you help?

My Pomeranian, Daisy, is scratching at her face, neck area, and chewing at her paw. She's been throwing up off and on since Friday. She has had a few French fries and part of a whole wheat tortilla, and eats canine ID dog food from the vet. She also had a greenie treat earlier today and has been eating grass. What could be causing these symptoms and what should I do?

My dog, a 3-year-old neutered Golden Retriever, was x-rayed 6 days ago and catheterized to release urinary retention. He is on phenoxybenzamine and myotonin to help relax the urinary bladder and sphincter. He has suddenly become painful and is dripping blood. The emergency vet suggested a bladder infection. He was left doubly incontinent following a spinal injury in Bosnia, and recent x-rays showed no bladder stones or crystals in the urinary system. What could be causing his symptoms and what should be done?

My 14-year-old Schnauzer, Junior, has been experiencing ataxia due to vestibular syndrome for the past 2 months. Symptoms come and go, with periods of normalcy followed by ataxia. Junior has lost his appetite and sometimes has minor issues with pooing during ataxia episodes. He has undergone CT, blood tests, and MRI, all of which showed no signs of stroke or tumor. What can be done to manage this condition, and is there any medication that can help?

My dog, Amos, a 9-year-old Small Munsterlander, has had TPLO surgery on both knees and now shows bone spurs on his right knee. He leans to the left when standing, adjusts his right leg often, tires quickly, and has less muscle on that leg. My vet advises arthroscopic surgery to remove the spurs. Will this surgery restore him to his previous condition, and is there anything else the veterinarian should be aware of?
