I have a 9-year-old Pomeranian named Jaxson who has been scooting his bottom for a couple of days. He hasn't been seen pooping, and there is no swelling, smell, or discharge. He occasionally runs and sits down quickly, and his tail has been lower. I am familiar with anal glands and don't think they are infected or impacted. My 9-year-old mastiff, Pepper, has swelling in her foot and ankle, which is warm to the touch and has pus on her middle pad. She has difficulty putting weight on that foot and prefers to lay down. She's lethargic for the second day, panting heavily with activity, and is on gabapentin for arthritis pain, which doesn't seem to help her foot.
