My 4-year-old Lab mix, Jax, has been licking and chewing his tail, causing hair loss and bumps (red/pink). The symptoms started minor but have worsened over a week, particularly the hair loss on his tail. He has no known allergies and is on NexGard Spectra. What can be done to help him until he can be seen by a vet?

We cut our dog's nails, and one won't stop bleeding. The bleeding started about 10 minutes ago after cutting the nail too short. We applied pressure and tried baking soda.
