We cut our dog's nails, and one won't stop bleeding. The bleeding started about 10 minutes ago after cutting the nail too short. We applied pressure and tried baking soda. The dog is an 8-year-old medium-sized dog named Aphina, last seen by a vet about 2 months ago, and is not on any medications. My 8-month-old German Shepherd/Lab mix woke up in a terrified state, whining and crying as if in great pain when touched. This behavior is extremely abnormal for him as he is usually very affectionate and follows me around constantly. He is now scared of our room, where he has always felt safe, and is moping around, with glossy eyes and slightly more salivation than normal.
