My mixed breed dog, Koda, is 11-12 years old and has been having trouble with his back legs for the past 4 days. He has difficulty walking, especially on his left leg, and sometimes his right leg. He also has trouble jumping up on the bed. He had a similar issue a year ago and was put on an anti-inflammatory. What could be causing this and what should I do?

My 8-month-old German Shepherd/Lab mix woke up in a terrified state, whining and crying as if in great pain when touched. This behavior is extremely abnormal for him as he is usually very affectionate and follows me around constantly. He is now scared of our room, where he has always felt safe, and is moping around, with glossy eyes and slightly more salivation than normal. He ate and drank normally but is visibly scared and anxious. What could have caused this sudden change in behavior and what should I do to help him?
