My 5-year-old purebred boxer, Huxley, suddenly experienced stiff back legs, loss of balance, and collapsed. He was not breathing and foaming at the mouth but revived after CPR. He has since vomited and is acting normally but panting more than usual. He has had another worse episode with similar symptoms. What could be causing this, and what can we do until we can see a vet?

We changed our dog Ruby's medication from Trifexis to Heartgard/Nexgard to add tick protection. After one dose two weeks ago, Ruby's scratch reflex has increased to the point where just patting her on the side causes her leg to jump, similar to when her belly is scratched. Is this a reaction to the medication change?
