My 6-year-old Sheltie has become lethargic over the last 7 months. He was neutered a year ago and gained 12 lbs but has since lost 8 lbs. He breathes heavily when I take him for a walk and it takes over 30 minutes to walk 8 blocks. I had a full panel blood screening done and his thyroid is very slightly to the low normal end. His cholesterol is at a slightly high normal. His heart sounds good, but when we walk he sounds like he is snoring. I put him on thyroid meds for a short time with no result. Any ideas?

Just now, he almost threw up, so he came to me, and I let him outside. He went straight to his dog house and started coughing. His nose has been running. How can I help my dog?

I have a 7-year-old lab/dalmatian mix. Every time I leave the house for work or errands, she seems to potty on the floor. Sometimes it's pee, sometimes it's poop, sometimes it's both, but it's every time I leave, never when I am there. I put her outside to potty before I leave but she won't go. What should I do to get her to stop pottying in the house when I am gone?
