My 7-month-old female dog, Emmie, started limping two days ago. She is not bearing weight on the affected leg, had a run/walk the day before, and is eating and drinking normally. She is up to date on her heart guard and nex guard medications. We took her to the vet yesterday who prescribed carprofen but did not take x-rays. She is worse today and has had 4 doses of carprofen. What should we do?

Can I buy over-the-counter dog medications to treat my dog, Bella, for a suspected UTI while she is taking Lasix for fluid around the heart? Bella is a 12-year-old overweight dog showing symptoms of increased urination, blood in urine, and butt dragging, but no pain or behavioral changes other than the butt scratching.
