My dog, Bentley, a 2-year-old, has a swollen eye that is closed shut and is tearing. He has been licking his paw and using it to rub his eye. What could be the issue and what should I do?

My dog is shaking, not feeling well, and has cried out for no apparent reason. She seems to be holding her back leg a little funny. We are unsure if she is sick or has eaten something toxic.
