My 8-year-old cocker spaniel has bronchitis and is on half a tablet of 5mg prednidale every second day. She has not coughed or gagged for several days, but I am worried that these tablets will harm her eventually. I spoke with a friend who had a labrador with bronchitis, and the vet suggested giving the dog Benalyn cough mixture. My dog is in good health and full of life, but I am concerned about giving her tablets. What advice can you provide?

The dose of prednisone (prednidale) you are giving your dog is quite small, at 2.5mg every other day...

My German Shepherd has had extreme discharge from only one nostril (the right one) for two months. The discharge is white and very thick. I have a Yorkiepoo, he is 3 years old. His right eye was red first with some matter in it, and about 3 days later, the left eye began to do the same thing. I bought him some eye rinse, but it only seems to work for a couple of hours and does not seem to be clearing up. What should I do, as I can't afford a vet?
