My 12lb dog, Benny, ate half of a 3oz dark chocolate bar. He has not vomited and seems normal. What should I do?

I feed my 13-year-old Golden Retriever, Jake, 1 heaping cup of dry food twice daily. He seems to always be hungry. His last vet visit showed a 14-pound weight loss, but blood work was normal. He still acts like a puppy when outside, trotting, running, and rolling. What kind of food should I be feeding him, and is the current amount enough?

Our dog swallowed a sock Saturday morning and it has not passed through his system as of Monday at 4:30. He is not eating and is having trouble with his tongue. He sleeps a little more than usual during the day, had a good run this morning but hasn’t eaten since Sunday morning. Mylo is a 55-pound golden doodle who dislikes other dogs and was a rescue dog caged for 1.5 years before being rescued by my daughter.

He also had a coughing episode on the previous Sunday, where he acted disoriented and had balance issues, but has since been eating, drinking, and urinating normally. He pooped on Sunday but not today. What could be causing the bloating and what should I do to help him?
