My Beagle mix, 8 years old (possibly older), has bilateral kidney stones and a stone in her left ureter causing hydronephrosis. She has had chronic kidney failure and acute on chronic failure. She was very ill with high creatinine and BUN levels, but improved with IV and subcutaneous fluids. She is not healthy enough for surgery, so we are managing her at home with subcutaneous fluids. She has started eating and walking again, but is now showing signs of fatigue. Is there anything I can do diet-wise to dissolve the stones, and how long can I expect her to be stable on this current treatment?

Stewie is on Clindamycin 75mg and prednisone 5 mg. He chews on wood, plastic, sticks, and hooves. He cannot have rawhide due to choking hazards. Could an underlying fracture or infection in his mouth cause 'overnight' gingivitis? After his dental, what can be done to prevent gingivitis in the future?

My Chihuahua is itching all over his body, and his skin is red. How long has this been going on, is there any swelling on the skin, and how much does he weigh?

Hi! Four year old Cairn terrier with what seems like a sharp intestinal pain. He flops from side to side quickly, whining and whimpering. It lasts about 4-5 minutes and has happened twice in the last 4 days. We always use expensive, grain-free food, but did make a brand change two weeks ago; his sister is unaffected.

My older German Shepherd attacked our one-month-old puppy, causing swelling and a tooth mark on his cheek. The puppy is lethargic, not nursing, and we have to force him to drink and eat. We don't have access to antibiotics and all vets are closed until Monday. What can we do to help the puppy until we can get professional help?

I have a 4.5-month-old Golden Retriever from the Philippines, who has had a limp since she was 3 months old. There was also swelling between one of her toes on her left rear foot, which has mostly gone down but the limp persists, and her foot is slightly pointed outwards when she runs. The vet initially thought it could be hip-related but now plans to take x-rays to check for a foreign object and may need to cut the foot open if nothing is found. I'd prefer to avoid surgery if possible. What could be causing this issue?
